Dikotomia lind për shkak të papajtueshmërisë, në të vërtetë kontradiktës, midis këtyre aspekteve të ndërgjegjësimit, të cilat duhet të jenë të pranishme nëse duam ta vlerësojmë plotësisht veprën e Butkës. Dualiteti i mprehtë i ngjyrave ngjall një ndjenjë thellësie dhe dimensioni, duke na ftuar të eksplorojmë shtresat dhe nënshtresat e kete ai e ben duke e transformuar kanavacën në një “kërcim kiaroskuro” që luhatet midis të prekshmes dhe eteres.

Abstract and figurative in the artistic journey of Ilir Butka

The dichotomy within the realm of the visual arts has long been a debate among artists with some arguing that an artist must choose between being an abstract artist or a figurative painter, noting that one cannot seamlessly navigate both realms. Butka, on the contrary, has decided to navigate both. His dichotomy is not as "rigid" as it may seem, and the decision to focus on one style over another is subjective and depends entirely on the artist's creative journey and personal vision.

Ilir Butke's art conveys emotions, ideas or concepts beyond the limitations of distinct forms. The allure lies in the freedom to explore color, form and texture in a way that transcends the limitations of representation, unencumbered by the need to depict reality by delving into the depths of the subconscious communicated through hedonism and abstract form.

The dichotomy arises because of the incompatibility, indeed the contradiction, between these aspects of awareness, which must be present if we are to fully appreciate Butka's work. The sharp duality of colors evokes a sense of depth and dimension, inviting us to explore the layers and substrata of this he does by transforming the canvas into a "chiaroscuro dance" that oscillates between the tangible and the ethereal.
