Ka kuptim dhe ka sens te flasesh per diferencen midis shteteve lidhur me traditen ne kinematografi, lidhur me zhvillimin e industrise kinematografike, lidhur me investimin publik ne buxhetet e institucioneve kinematografike, lidhur me politikat qe ndiqen, kjo ka kuptim, ka sens.
Por nuk ka asnje sens te flasesh per diferenca kur behet fjale per individet qe jetejne ne keto hapesira gjeografike dhe politike. Aq me pak mund te jete kjo e pranueshme per artistet, nga vete artistet.
Nje artist apo regjisor shqiptar nuk ka sens te ndihet inferior artistikisht vetem per faktin e perkatesise se tij edhe pse nje artist regjisor francez i perket nje shteti qe investon per kinematografine as me pak dhe as me shume por 750 here me shume se ne shqiperi. Po, eshte e vertete qe ne shqiperi investimi publik eshte 1 milion euro ndersa ne france 750 milion. Kjo e ka bere te pabarabarte dhe te padrejte kompeticionin.
Ndaj duhet te krijohen mardhenie dhe aleanca te reja te bazuara mbi te perbashketa qe na identifikojne dhe mbi te gjitha mbi mundesi financiare te peraferta. Kjo do te sillte nje lloj risie ne oferten e pafund qe vjen nga realitete financiare shume te diversifikuara.
Na lidh me njeri tjetrin jo vetem financimi por edhe mentaliteti, historia e perbashket, rreth 25 vite me pare dolem njekohesisht nga nje sistem jo vetem politik, por edhe nga nje sistem shteteror dhe partiak i menaxhimit te kinematografise. Kjo ndoshta na ben qe aftesite profesionale ti kemi te njejta ose te peraferta. Kjo duhet te na afroje, duhet te na nxise, duhet te na mbroje.
Ballkanasit tashme nuk pelqejne te jene ne rradhe, te heshtur, pjese e nenshtruar e sistemit. Duam te evidentohemi te biem ne sy. E kemi arritur pak vite me pare nepermjet luftrash te pakuptimta dhe e terhoqem mjaftueshem vemendjen besoj. Ka ardhur koha ta terheqim vemendjen ne nje forme tjeter, duke e filluar me bashkepunimin midis nesh. Prandaj e kerkojme me insistim krijimin e nje Forumi Ballkanik ne Shqiperi, dhe jo vetem.
Do te ishte ideale qe cdonjeri nga vendet tona ate krijonte nje Forum Ballkanik, si shprehje e vullnetit politik por mbi te gjitha si nevoje per te bashkepunuar artistikisht e profesjonalisht me njeri tjetrin. Duhet te krijojme nje dere te hapur per kineastet tane te rinj te cilet duan te eksplorojne ballkanin.
Duhet bere kjo per kineastet dhe per publikun. Publiku Ballkanas njeh me mire cdo kinematografi dhe nuk njeh aspak ose shume pak kinematografine Ballkanike. Kjo do te na ndihmonte per te shfrytezuar maksimalisht audience tone te perbashket.
Nga njohja fillon respekti, per veten dhe per tjetrin. Ka ardhur koha ta terheqim vemendjen e Europes me historite tona, me lokacionet tona, me artistet tane.
Ballkani mund te jete laboratori me I rendesishem kinematografik ne Europe nese ne krijojme networkun me aktiv, intensiv dhe te pasur me njeri tjetrin. Kreative Europe dhe Programi Media japin mbeshtetje reale financiare per kete, qe superon cdo lloj buxheti te vendeve tona respektive.

The Albanian National Center of Cinematography (ANCC) is launching the first edition of the Balkan Film Market (BFM), which aims to connect film and industry professionals from around Europe and the countries of the Western Balkans. The market will be held from 2-7 October in Tirana and is supported by Eurimages.
Apart from becoming an important industry event, the BFM also intends to be a meeting point that will further promote cooperation between professionals in a rich and dense region that is yet to be discovered. According to the provisional schedule, some of the events include a discussion by the MEDIA desks of the Western Balkans, under the Creative Europe initiative, a pitching session for minority co-production projects from the Balkans, and meetings with the leading public and private European and Balkan audiovisual institutions.
The Balkan Film Market is being organised as part of activities to mark the 20th anniversary of the Albanian National Center of Cinematography. It is worth noting that over these past two decades, the ANCC has funded or co-funded the production of 285 features, shorts, documentaries and animated films. Further details on the participants and the events at the first BFM, as well as confirmation of the schedule, will be announced soon.

BALKAN FILM MARKET | 2nd Edition
The Balkan Film Market (BFM) is a regional film industry event in the form of a marketplace for the film business with main focus in production and distribution deals.
BFM’18 will take place on 3 - 7 October 2018 in Tirana, Albania. BFM’18 is a five-day annual event brings together audio-visual agencies and professionals from European and Balkan to develop, pitch, finance, sell and network. The event is open for professionals interested in the regional production and includes producers, writers, directors, distributors, acquisition, financiers, development executives, festival directors, film commissioners, etc.
Every year at the Balkan Film Market official program includes workshops, pitching and professional discussions of issues and concerns, as well as new trends and perspectives of regional development. Beside the official program BFM invites all entitles that share common values and interest to come up with their own programming and use the platform to share their experiences in favour of enhancing the regional production output and cooperation. Balkan Film Market remains focused first and foremost on Balkan stories for Balkan audiences.
UNDER THE PATRONAGE OF EURIMAGES
Eurimages renewals its patronage for the second edition of the Balkan Film Market, at its 151st Board of Management Meeting in Montreal.
Eurimages is the cultural support fund of the Council of Europe. Established in 1989, it currently numbers 37 member states plus Canada as Associate member.
Eurimages promotes independent filmmaking by providing financial support to feature-length films, animation and documentary films. In doing so, it encourages co-operation between professionals established in different countries.
Eurimages has five support schemes:
The Sekretariat sits in Strasbourg and is headed by Mr. Roberto Olla. The president of Eurimages is Mrs. Catherine Trautmann.
The Eurimages Board of Management meets 4 times per year in different venues of the member countries and allocates a yearly envelope of 25 million euros to the following 5 support schemes: Film co-production, Theatrical distribution, Exhibition, Promotion and Gender equality
Since its creation in 1988, has supported 1962 co-production films for an overall total amount of about 574 million euros.

SEE CINEMA NETWORK
Balkan Film Market 2018 will host in Tirana the work meeting of SEE Cinema Network General Assembly, that will discuss the support of 18 selected feature film projects.
The South Eastern Europe Cinema Network (SEE CINEMA NETWORK) was established as a joint international film institution with participating public agencies of eleven regional countries in 2000.
The Greek Film Center hosts the secretariat of the network dealing with the partner organizations and managing the work with the films supported by the network. The General Assembly meets in June in one of the member countries and in November during Thessaloniki International Film Festival.
SEE Cinema Network, has so far supported:

ALBASCRIPT PLUS 2018
AlbaScript Plus is an intensive script developing experience that goes beyond the traditional academic workshops that assist regional authors to overcome occurring problems with a prime goal to have a better script that communicates effectively across the cultures.
The submission call is open to narrative feature and short screenplays from the filmmakersresiding in the wider Balkan region or others that have a story of significant Balkan relevance.
Albascript Plus relies heavily on personal work with accomplished mentors and it lends the opportunity to have the updated draft review by the mentor of choice.
Albascript Plus 2018 takes place 3 - 7 October 2018 in Tirana, Albania. The accommodations are tucked amidst a quiet retreat only minutes away from the beauty of the newly designed Scanderbeg Square.

The ultimate goal for BFM is to become the talent scouting ground the Balkan authors and projects.
